A graduate of the Music College of Shanxi University, she is a member of the National Music & Arts Development Committee under the China Nationalities Orchestra Society. With a career spanning both traditional and contemporary music, Lan Ye is dedicated to preserving and innovating the art of pipa performance.

Lan Ye has graced stages worldwide, including New York’s Lincoln Center, Toronto’s Sony Centre, and CBC Music Hall. Her notable performances include invitations to the 100th Anniversary Celebration of Indian Bollywood Movies and prestigious events such as the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal Celebration and Mid-Autumn Festival Gala at Parliament Hill. In 2023, she successfully held the True Heart: The Story of Lan, Ye Lan Pipa Concert, and in 2024, the True Heart: Vibrant Classical Pipa Concert. In 2012, Lan Ye founded the Lantingxu Pipa Education Center in Canada to promote pipa music education overseas. She later established the Lantingxu Pipa Chamber Music Ensemble and Lantingxu Fanghua Pipa Ensemble, nurturing new talent and organizing community performances and charity events. Her students have achieved outstanding results in the Central Conservatory of Music examinations and international music festivals, cementing her reputation as a dedicated and inspiring educator.
